This banjo is a great opportunity to get a lot of value for not much money. 10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely. This has a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. This also was professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse. The banjo was dirty but there wasn’t much actual wear to begin with so it really looks great now. The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled. The wood was all cleaned and waxed so that shines as well. The banjo was disassembled and we buffed the hardware to give it a nice shine. I mentioned this was really dirty when it got here but we clean these professionally and now it looks great. This also includes the original case which is another huge plus. Not only is this a quality banjo this is truly beautiful. If you are looking for a quality banjo under $1000 this screams your name.

Plus this has a full size 20 hole tone ring that is still gold plated on the inside. The banjo is all original with an engraved armrest and clam shell tailpiece. The neck and resonator each have white binding on each side. There is more inlay work on the headstock including the Morgan Monroe logo. There is a vine with flowers inlaid with pearl that looks extraordinary. The fretboard has got some gorgeous inlay work. The lugs still have a good bit of gold on them which gives this a really interesting look with the nickel hardware and gold lugs. I buffed all of the hardware down to nickel so it looks way better but most of the gold that was left is gone. The hardware used to be gold but this was pretty dirty when it got here with most of the gold worn off. This has a curly maple resonator with a curly maple neck and an ebony fretboard. This is not only a quality instrument it is a work of art and it’s affordable. This is an absolutely gorgeous banjo that has a one piece flange which really gives it some powerful tone.
